NEW DELHI: Abhishek Sharma set the Arun Jaitley Stadium alight on Thursday, smashing the fastest century by an Indian in men's T20 internationals during the third T20I against Afghanistan. Abhishek reached the milestone in just 30 balls, breaking Rohit Sharma's previous Indian record of a 35-ball century in the format. The left-handed opener clobbered 10 sixes and nine fours in a whirlwind knock to break former captain Rohit Sharma's record of scoring the fastest T20I century, which he had recorded against Sri Lanka in December 2017. Abhishek's century was also the fastest for any batter against a Test playing nation. He brought up his hundred with a single in the ninth over of the Indian innings. The innings was Abhishek's third century in the shortest format to go with 12 half-centuries. Fastest T20I hundreds (FM teams)
