Adidas reported record core profit of €1.01 billion in the third quarter, up 37% year-on-year, supported by healthy sales and approximately €200 million in US tariff refunds.
The German sportswear group said the refunds accounted for a significant boost to its performance, while strong full-price sales also supported profit margins. The US Supreme Court struck down many of President Donald Trump’s tariffs in February, ruling that the duties exceeded his authority to regulate commerce.
Adidas raised its full-year core profit forecast to €2.5 billion from €2.3 billion, reflecting its stronger-than-expected performance. The company also announced plans to invest an additional €100 million beyond its previous budget.
