On 25 August 2026, Ambassador Dr. Robert Zischg presented his Letters of Credence to H.E. President Anura Kumara Dissanayake of Sri Lanka in Colombo, officially commencing his tenure as Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Sri Lanka.
The occasion provides an opportunity to reaffirm the strong ties between the two countries. Austria looks forward to deepening its longstanding friendship with Sri Lanka and expanding bilateral cooperation in areas of shared interest.
