A body has been found in the water in Dunedin this afternoon.
Police said they were called to John Wilson Ocean Drive near Lawyers Head about 3.20pm after a member of the public discovered the body.
The body was recovered and a formal identification process is underway.
The road was cordoned off while the body was recovered and has since reopened.
Police said the public may see an increased police presence in the area while inquiries continue.
The killer also says a psychological report presented at trial was "not thorough enough".
