Delhi might see a clear sky today, Wednesday, September 23, as the India Meteorological Department ( IMD ) has forecast pleasant weather for the capital . Residents can expect sunny conditions throughout the day, with temperatures ranging between 24 and 35 degrees Celsius. This weather pattern is a welcome change, allowing people to enjoy outdoor activities before the weekend brings a shift in conditions.

The IMD reported that the minimum temperature at the Safdarjung weather station was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius, slightly above the seasonal average. The maximum temperature is expected to peak at around 36 degrees Celsius, providing a warm and clear day for the residents of Delhi. Humidity levels are forecasted to remain moderate, enhancing the overall comfort of the day.

Looking ahead to the weekend, the IMD warns that the clear skies will give way to rain and thunderstorms. Meteorologists predict that the monsoon will reassert itself, bringing showers and possible thunderstorms from Saturday evening through Sunday. This change is likely to affect outdoor plans, and residents are advised to remain prepared for sudden weather changes.

The air quality index (AQI) in Delhi remains in the moderate category, with current readings around 133. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), an AQI of 101 to 200 is classified as moderate, indicating that air quality is acceptable; however, there may be a risk for some people, particularly those who are unusually sensitive to air pollution.

As the city enjoys clear weather today, residents are encouraged to take advantage of the conditions while they last. The impending rain and thunderstorms this weekend may disrupt outdoor activities, so planning ahead is advisable. The IMD continues to monitor the situation closely, providing updates as necessary. For more detailed forecasts, residents can refer to the IMD’s website for the latest information.
