What if you didn't have to wake up early to watch your favourite team? What if you could just call for some tea and watch the captains walk out for the toss. Then, watch the teams slug it out as you tuck into your brekkie? Shower during the drinks break and then watch the rest of the match from your bed? The lucky lot that's booked themselves at the Headingley Lodge at the Emerald Headingley Stadium in Leeds, Yorkshire, will be doing just that, when India takes on Sri Lanka in their final league match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
The Headingley Lodge has been built into the Emerald Headingley Stadium. Each of the 36 rooms overlooks the cricket ground. The rooms come with complimentary Wi-Fi, a desk and TV. There's no restaurant or bar on the site, though in-room amenities include a tea- and coffee-kit. Rooms start at GBP 73 (Rs6,300), which is a great deal especially when you consider that it saves you the ticket fee!
Is there a better hotel for a cricket-lover? We doubt very much...
