Newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Wei Huaxiang has met former President Maithripala Sirisena at his residence.
The discussions focused on strengthening the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Sri Lanka and China, as well as the current situation in Sri Lanka and global developments.
Sirisena also recalled diplomatic relations and experiences with China during his presidency and expressed hope that bilateral friendship and cooperation would continue to strengthen.
