All school principals in the Hatton and Nuwara Eliya Education Zones in Central Province have been authorised to decide whether to keep their schools open or closed based on prevailing adverse weather conditions.
The decision was announced by the Provincial Director of Education, who said principals have been empowered to make the final decision after assessing the weather situation in their respective areas.
