Two famous cricketing surnames have found a place in India’s squad for the Under-19 Asia Cup, as Aaryavir Sehwag and Anvay Dravid, the sons of Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid, have both been picked for the continental event.
Lakshya Raichandani and Yashbardhan Chauhan will continue as the captain and vice-captain, respectively, and the tournament will be played in Muscat, Oman, from November 4 to 14.
The young Indians arrive in Oman after a run of impressive results. In September and October, they swept Australia Under-19s 2-0 in the four-day series and 3-0 in the one-day games, which was a convincing performance in both formats.
Before that, they beat Sri Lanka Under-19s 1-0 in a series of two four-day matches in Sri Lanka, even though they had lost the one-day series there by 2-1.
Raichandani was the star of the four-day games against Australia, as he scored 250 runs in three innings, with a top score of 240 in the first match. Chauhan, on the other hand, was the best batter in the one-dayers, making 176 runs in two innings, including a century in the second game.

Sehwag is a top-order batter, and he put together scores of 28, 47 and 34 in the one-day series.
Dravid, who is also the first-choice wicketkeeper, made 38 and 9 in the two one-day games he played against Australia, after he had finished the one-day leg of the Sri Lanka tour with a 67-ball 87.
