Context: The 13th edition of the annual bilateral maritime exercise between the Indian Navy and the Sri Lanka Navy, SLINEX-26 , is underway at Visakhapatnam.
Host: Hosted by India at Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), under the operational command of the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) of the Indian Navy.
Members: Indian Navy and Sri Lanka Navy.
Aim: To foster closer defense cooperation, build mutual operational trust, exchange best naval practices, and enhance tactical interoperability to address common non-traditional maritime threats in the shared waters of the Indian Ocean .
