Pakistan booked their place in the Tri-Series final after Shadab Khan produced a stunning unbeaten century to guide his side to a remarkable one-wicket victory over England in Lahore.
Chasing 242, Pakistan looked out of contention at 154 for nine before Shadab (113*) and Haris Rauf (7*) combined for an unbeaten 89-run last-wicket partnership to seal victory with the final wicket in hand. Their stand set a new record for the highest 10th-wicket partnership in a successful ODI run chase.
Earlier, Ben Duckett scored a brilliant 105 while Sam Curran contributed 42 as England were bowled out for 241. Shaheen Shah Afridi led Pakistan’s attack with four wickets for 46 runs, while Jamie Overton claimed three for 43.
The defeat leaves England at the bottom of the Tri-Series standings, with their hopes of reaching the final hanging by a thread.
