Bhagalpur: With the objective of promoting industries and entrepreneurship in the region, a unique ‘Udyog Samvad (Industrial Dialogue)-Aaiyey Baat Cheet Karen’ programme was held at Resham Bhawan in Bhagalpur under the state govt’s Seven Resolves-3 (Saat Nischay) programme and the ‘Prosperous Industry-Strong Bihar’ initiative. The daylong interaction was held on Monday between district officials, industry stakeholders and local entrepreneurs under the chairmanship of DM Nawal Kishor Chaudhary. Officials from the industries department, Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) and other allied departments participated in the discussions, which focused on improving facilities for industrial expansion in the district. Various issues were discussed with entrepreneurs to identify better support mechanisms for the growth and expansion of industries. Deliberations were also held on the Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package-2025, facilities available for industrial development in Bhagalpur, future institutional support and the challenges being faced by industrialists in their respective sectors. The DM said the Udyog Samvad was organised to encourage industries and entrepreneurship in the region. “The state govt is committed to expanding industries across the state with a thrust to ‘ease of doing business’,” he said.He added that industrial development would not only boost the local economy but also create employment opportunities for skilled and unskilled workers currently working outside the state, enabling them to live with their families.Highlighting the region’s potential, he said there was vast scope for food processing, agriculture-based industries, tussar silk, mango, banana, makhana, katarni rice, edible oil, foodgrains and sugar cane. He also urged entrepreneurs to engage local youth, including fresh graduates, as interns to help them develop skills while creating employment opportunities.Get an chance to win ₹5000 Amazon Voucher by taking part in India's Biggest Habit Index!
