Sri Lanka A beat India A in a Super Over at Dambulla on June 15, India A's second defeat of the Tri-Nation A Series.

A heated physical exchange between Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Sri Lanka A's Vishen Halambage during the match generated significant attention.

Sooryavanshi, named in India's T20I squad for the Ireland and England tours, scored 14 off 12 balls before being dismissed.

A Super Over thriller at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Monday ended in defeat for India A, with Sri Lanka A claiming a dramatic Tri-Nation A Series victory.

The match was also marked by a heated physical exchange between Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Sri Lanka A's Vishen Halambage.

Footage of the confrontation between the two players circulated rapidly on social media, turning a compelling cricket contest into a talking point off the field.

Sooryavanshi's involvement attracted additional scrutiny given the teenager's status as India's most high-profile young cricketer and his imminent senior debut.

The 15-year-old had earlier been dismissed for 14 off 12 balls, contributing three boundaries in a typically aggressive but brief cameo at the top of the order. India A was unable to separate the teams in regulation, and the match was pushed into a Super Over.

Sri Lanka A held their nerve to prevail in the Super Over at Dambulla, completing a comeback win after losing the first encounter between the two sides in the series. Sahan Arachchige's team used the result to reassert their credentials in the Tri-Nation A Series.

India A's strong batting lineup was unable to produce the clinical finish that had defined their eight-run victory over Sri Lanka A in Match 1 of the tournament.

The Super Over defeat follows their loss to Afghanistan A, leaving Tilak Varma's side under real pressure to improve their form.

Two defeats from three outings represent an unexpected stumble for a squad widely regarded as the strongest in the competition. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Priyansh Arya, and Suryansh Shedge are all capable of match-winning performances, but India A have struggled for collective consistency across both batting and bowling departments.

For Sooryavanshi, the altercation with Halambage is an unwanted distraction at an otherwise critical moment in his young career. The teenager has been named in India's T20I squad for the tours of Ireland and England, with a potential senior debut scheduled for June 26 in Dublin.
