Twelve teams will take part in the Hong Kong Sixes 2026 tournament, which is scheduled for October 30 to November 1 at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground in Hong Kong.
The event is built around the shortest version of cricket that exists, and it asks sides to produce their best.
Each team fields only six players, and every batting side faces no more than six overs. That format rewards aggressive batting and quick scoring, and it also pushes bowlers to come up with inventive plans, so that every single over carries weight in the result.
India, captained by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, are among the teams in the field, and defending champions Pakistan will also be there. The teams will play group matches first and will then move into the Cup, Plate and Bowl competitions.
Pakistan sit at the top of the list with six titles, which they won in 1992, 1997, 2001, 2002, 2011 and 2025.
England and South Africa follow with five each, and Sri Lanka have won twice, while India, Australia and the West Indies have one title apiece. The table below shows how the teams compare in finals and trophies.
The next table lists every champion and finalist, year by year. The tournament was not held in several years, which is why there are gaps in the list.
