India’s Ayush Shetty will face Sri Lanka’s Dumindu Abeywickrama in the BWF World Championships 2026 in New Delhi on Wednesday, August 19, looking to avenge his previous defeat against the Sri Lankan.
Abeywickrama holds a 1-0 head-to-head record against Ayush, having beaten the Indian in straight games at the Bahrain International Challenge in 2023. Ayush will be keen to reverse that result on the bigger stage as he continues his World Championships campaign.
