Colombo, Nov. 4 (Daily Mirror) - Two Indian passengers, and a British national who was also of Indian origin were arrested by airport police for allegedly behaving in an unruly manner while travelling on a flight from Sydney, Australia, to Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake.

Police said the three passengers, who were reportedly under the influence of alcohol, had caused a disturbance during the flight last week.

According to police investigations, the suspects had got into an argument with airline crew over the serving of food during the journey.

During the altercation, they had allegedly pushed the food trolley. However, investigations revealed that no significant damage had been caused to the aircraft's entrance.

The three suspects had arrived at Katunayake from Sydney and were reportedly scheduled to travel onwards to New Delhi.

They were subsequently arrested by airport police and produced before Court. The suspects were granted bail, while the next hearing is scheduled for tomorrow.

Meanwhile, SriLankan Airlines and the Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited denied reports of the incident.
